The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for managing the financial actions of our client. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO oversees all financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, capital and investment management, statutory and regulatory compliance, risk management and financial reporting. The CFO plays a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s strategy and ensuring sustainable financial health.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with its overall business objectives.
– Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
– Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of long-range planning, capital projects, product development and regulatory action.
– Accountable for the administrative, financial and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
– Leverage financial perspective to improve risk-awareness, strategic decision making and integrating performance management.
– Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the strategic plan.
– Define and adapt finance’s operating model.

Educational Qualifications:

– Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
– A post graduate degree or MBA in Finance Management or a related discipline is an advantage
– A professional qualification of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Relevant Experience:

A minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience with at least five (5) years experience preferable in an Insurance firm.
